Margot Buchbinder

Lead Tech & Lab Manager, 2018 - present

Leads day-to-day operations, and manages multiple living shorelines projects and studies of eelgrass, CA sea-blite, and cordgrass ecology and restoration. Keeps the lab organized and helps us all with programming in R.

Research Technician, 2024 - present

Co-leading NSF-funded studies of ocean acidification effects and interactions in eelgrass ecosystems with Kate. Manages field and lab work on numerous projects.

Kate Nicholson

Research Technician, 2024 - present

Co-leading NSF-funded studies of ocean acidification effects and interactions in eelgrass ecosystems with Sebastian. Manages field and lab work on numerous projects.

Becca Morris

Research Technician, 2021 - present

Assists with everything in the field and lab. Creates amazing invertebrate illustrations to aid identification and outreach. Former SFSU undergrad and current IMES grad student on nature-based adaptation in marshes.

Josie Collier

Research Assistant, 2024 - present

Currently working towards a terrestrial master's degree focused on plant evolution in SFSU's Biology Department and honing her intertidal ecology experience in the Boyer Lab.
